The archaeological area of Nuraghe Crabioni (or Pala Cannedda), located within the Nuraghe Crabioni winery, in the heart of the historical region of Romangia and in a particularly fortunate position, is the subject of a research project conducted by University of Sassari, in collaboration with the Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, the winery and the Municipality of Sorso. Its aim is to analyse the close relationship between natural resources and the aforementioned site.
Between 2018 and 2019, surveys in the area around the nuraghe made it possible to identify the presence of materials from the Nuragic age, with forms (jars, pans, pots, bowls) typical of inhabited contexts.
The “Pala Cannedda Project” and the entrepreneurial initiative aimed at quality production also focus on combining archeology and wine to create paths to enhance and promote the context of Nuraghe Crabioni and Romangia in general.
